Dave Jones has out-fundraised all opponents by every measure: cash on hand, raised this reporting period, and raised in total.

Sacramento, CA – In the most recent campaign finance report submitted to the California Secretary of State’s office reflecting fundraising totals through April 23, 2022, the Dave Jones for State Senate campaign reported $789,854 in cash on hand, $314,024 raised in 2022, and $1,232,788 raised in total. Jones continues to lead the field of SD-8 candidates in all categories.

Jones has continued to build on the fundraising lead he first established in June 2021, and grew through the 2021 calendar year.

Dave Jones released the following statement regarding his report:
Our campaign is communicating with voters every day, talking about the principles we’re fighting for: advancing equity and justice in California’s public policy, standing up for the people who need our help, and ensuring that our laws live up to our progressive ideals. Big Oil and its allies are coming after us; they’ve spent hundreds of thousands on false and intentionally misleading attack ads, lying about my record, because they want to elect Angelique Ashby to the State Senate. I’m proud of the coalition we have built that has helped us talk to voters and raise money. I’m deeply grateful to have the support of the California Democratic Party, the Sierra Club, local teachers, nurses, and grocery store workers, and so many others. We’re not going to let Big Oil and its corporate buddies buy this election.”

Jones also leads the field in endorsements by a wide margin, his full list of endorsements can be found here.
