Sacramento, CA – Today, Dave Jones was endorsed by the California Democratic Party at its state convention. Dave Jones is the only candidate for State Senate District 8 endorsed by the Democratic Party.

Dave Jones released the following statement regarding the endorsement:
“I’m proud to be a Democrat because our party fights for every Californian, for equity and justice, and for a brighter future for our state. Thank you to all the Democrats who participated in this process and made their voices heard. The California Democratic Party’s endorsement has great weight; it represents the values of our party, and a serious responsibility comes with it. I promise to do my best to carry that responsibility, to work hard to win this election with the Democratic Party’s support, and to fight for the residents of Senate District 8.”

Dave Jones secured the party endorsement with a 69.8% to 25.5% win over Angelique Ashby at the convention’s endorsing caucus. The Dave Jones campaign has built an overwhelming lead in both endorsements and fundraising over Ashby’s campaign.
